Minorities, Migration, and Religion - New Perspectives on Religious Education in Faith Communities and Schools in Europe

This book seeks to break new ground in the understanding of and knowledge about religious education. The contributors return to the term "religious education", suggesting an inclusive approach to what it might encompass. They seek to lay out the landscape within which religious education takes place in Europe in the 2020s, offering reflections on the importance of religious education in - and for - a plural Europe. While religious diversity is, of course, in no way new in Europe, contemporary migration-driven diversification of populations is changing the religious demography. This book offers new opportunities for looking across the field boundaries, while remaining anchored in the study of religious education.
